Our next meeting was to be on June 11th, but it has been cancelled as I will be gone on business once again. The BCBF meetings will be hold until further notice. If you are still interested in learning more about Buddhism, might I suggest the following locations for the Brevard County area:

Thank you to everyone who came for our last meeting. Our next meeting will be on Friday, March 12th, 2010, at 7:00PM at the Unity Church of Melbourne on Trimble Rd. Our topic for this meeting will be "An Introduction to Buddhism: Basic Teaching of the Buddha." If you have had reservations about attending in the past because you felt you were a "beginner," or if you are a seasoned practioner who would like a recap into the basic teachings of the Dharma, now is the time to come and join us for a wonderful evening of meditation and group discussion. We will be talking about the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, Karma and other basic topics we might have time for. I will also make sure to leave plenty of time for questions afterwards.

Discovering Buddhism 101

Registration for the course "Discovering Buddhism 101" will be from Nov. 26th to Jan. 7th. This course is offered through the New England Institute of Buddhist Studies, one day a month, and can be completed as a correspondence course. This a great class for all those new to Buddhism or Shin, and is hosted by our parent group, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship of Ct. For more information follow this link:

Since our beloved practice leader Shanti and her husband have moved to California and plan to start a fellowship in the Santa Barbara area, we've decided to move the blogspot as well so she can concentrate on her new fellowship. We will be posting the same type of information here, with dates & times of our events. Check back periodically for updates, or subscribe to the blog to get email updates of our upcoming events.
